The Tax Shop

The Tax Shop was launched in 2002 and officially franchised in 2007. From humble beginnings, it has rapidly grown into a large business with a national footprint throughout South Africa - we currently have 72 outlets operating in every province. As the business has grown, so has the need for additional services with the result that The Tax Shop now offers a host of business and financial services. However, our core focus remains on ACCOUNTING, PAYROLL and TAXATION services.

Concept

The Tax Shop is unique in that it is the only franchise of its kind in SA. Identifying the need to service individual taxpayers, the founders created the concept of The Tax Shop - a franchise to offer professional taxation services to the general public. However, as the franchise has become more established so has the demand for additional services increased and we currently offer far more than taxation services. Our target market typically includes small businesses (SMMEs) and corporates but we also service individuals. All of our software is cloud-based, enabling franchisees to support their clients in real time from anywhere in the world.

Support

Our franchise licence fee includes initial training and set-up which takes place at our training office in Pretoria. It typically lasts for about 3 days during which time new franchisees are introduced to the franchise (rules and management), our software and marketing strategies. Thereafter, we regularly undertake training in various aspects of our services in order to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the latest developments within our industry. Corporate training is regularly undertaken online while personal training and mentoring is also offered to franchisees. A dedicated support team is available to offer technical and other advice to franchisees on an ongoing basis.
