Descr:    Maxi's was founded in Pretoria in 1994 by Johan Coetzer who saw an opportunity in the market for a quick service casual dining restaurant that is owner operated. Over 11 years they opened 28 stores, predominantly in the Gauteng region.

In April 2005, Scooters Pizza (Pty) Ltd bought Maxi's. Since April 2005 the Maxi's chain has grown by 18 outlets, opening a new store every 30 days. Maxi's now consists of 47 stores and will open another 13 new outlets by February 2008, bringing the total to 60 outlets nationally.

Maxi's Restaurant is a fast, casual family restaurant that offers superior tasting food, variety of menu, great value for money and ''more than just a meal'' - a great service experience.
